These days Mobile Phones, Tablets and other small devices are commonly used in place of traditional computers for accessing the internet. A problem commonly occurs where your desktop website may not be suitable for these devices due to technology limitations, such a small screen resolution.
So what can we do? Well there is various different ways we can go about enabling your website for a mobile device. You can set up a redirect to an alternate website on a sub domain or directory, this is done automatically by detecting if you are on a device. In the case of WordPress websites, there is a plugin to achieve a very satisfying result.
The attached image (enlarge the thumbnail) is an example of WPtouch WordPress plugin in action, this plugin uses the pages in your current website, and alters the style so that it works on portable devices. The bonus of this method is the ability to switch between the Mobile and Regular website theme.
